Spring weather has finally hit New York, and the parks show it. From Fort Tryon Park to Central Park, visitors and locals alike are out with their children, pets, cameras, and instruments, busking for a dollar or two. It's always fun to shoot in the street, but the park has an entirely different dynamic. There seems to be more ease in approaching a stranger because of their dog or their music or their sunglasses. The parks are places of joy and opportunity, and a photographer asking for a portrait might just be that chance encounter they were hoping for.
